Hi,bloggers
what are you up to in the holidays perhaps you are saving the planet
I don't know here are some things I learnt about school strike for climate Australia
1.they are striking from school to tell their politicians to take their futures
seriously and treat climate change for what it is - a crisis.
2.some of their demands are No new coal, oil and gas projects, including the Adani mine.
and
3.they are school students from cities and towns across Australia.
Most of them have never met in person before but are united by their concern about our planet.
ReplyDeleteMālō e lelei Paige, how is your morning going?
Thank you for completing week two, day two, activity two! I enjoyed reading what you’d learnt from the School Strike for Climate Australia website. Was there any information that was new to you, or did you know most of it already? I like the image you’ve added to show what you’re doing around home to help protect the environment - is that you recycling? Ka pai!
I am trying to use less plastic, so am buying things from bulk bins instead of in packaging, and am trying to reduce the amount of red meat I eat.
Did you attend the Climate Strike Protest in Auckland last year? If you didn’t, you might be interested in reading about it here: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12271480
Keep up the blogging!
Eliza :)
